Make Your Own Endless Zentangle Journal eCourse
Learn to make your own endless accordion journal for drawing, tangling, watercolor and just plain fun! You will cut the journal covers and long paper strips in class. Then you will paste your selection of special papers or fabric to your journal covers. Finally folding and attaching the folded strips to the front and back journal covers.
Class supplies:
2-3 strips of watercolor weight paper (at least 140lb). I usually purchase an 11x15 inch pad so that I can cut two strips per page. Cut the strips 4 inches wide for Zentangle drawing or wider as you please. Good choices include hot and cold press Canson, Arches, Strathmore, and Stonehendge.
2 pieces of specialty papers or your favourite fabric. You can use scrapbook paper or any favorite decorative papers. Mulberry paper is nice too.
1 piece of 12x12 chipboard or book board. I will show you how to cut it in class. The finished size is 4.5 x 4.5 inches and you need two (front and back of the book).
Strip of ribbon for closure (one yard or meter)
PH neutral tacky glue
Double-sided tape (e.g. Scortape is a brand easy to find and has strong adhesion)
Tools:
Some type of cutter like an xacto blade, possibly a scrapbook cutter.
Cutting mat
pencil, pen
Bone folder
Metal ruler (best with cork backing, not required)
90 degree angle ruler is also very helpful
