Project Pack 24 Review: A Journey to Mindful Creativity

Explore Your Creativity

If you’re a fan of Zentangle, you know that each new Project Pack brings a fresh exploration of creativity, mindfulness, and artistic expression. Zentangle Project Pack 24 is no exception! In this review, I’ll walk you through the highlights of this beautifully created booklet, perfect for both seasoned tanglers and those just beginning to explore the art form.

What’s Inside Project Pack 24?

Zentangle Project Packs are always filled with surprises, and PP 24 is a delightful blend of tools and video instruction that guides you through a meaningful tangle journey. As with previous packs, everything you need is included: special booklet, pens, pencils, and a few extra goodies that really elevate the experience.

The theme for Project Pack 24 revolves around exploring Cresecent Moon and Auras while embracing the core Zentangle philosophy—one stroke at a time, no mistakes, only opportunities. This project pack encourages a deep dive into some playful placement of patterns, all while gently pushing the boundaries of your creativity.

PP24 - Day 1

Molly and Martha tangle variations of Cresent Moon so that they shine through the cover moon cutout.

PP24 - Day 2

It will come as no surprise to avid tanglers that Rick Roberts included Betweed and Flux in his first lesson of the project pack. He worked from a page with two different sizes of empty crescent moon shapes.

PP24 - Day 3

On this day, Maria Thomas tangled different, fun and unique versions of Well. I followed along and then added more fun to complete the page.

PP24 - Day 4

On Julie’s day, she worked on a page with a half moon shape and a beautiful song quote from John Lennon, “We all shine on … like the moon and the stars and the sun … we all shine on … come on and on and on.” Her page includes Shattuck, Diva Dance and Moon Pie. I added a Doodah inside border.

PP24 - Day 5

Molly and Martha used the Embedded Letters technique on the AURA page. They added hearts, orbs, knights bridge and other designs into the aura spaces and I added a aura border.

PP24 - Day 6

Rick Roberts selected a page with just one small crescent moon shape and then added successive Molygon shapes making his own path around the page.

PP24 - Day 7

Molly and Martha added auras, Crescent Moon, and Knightsbridge to a page with a dark cresent moon shape. I added the ribbons to connect to the other side of the page.

PP24 - Day 8

Maria Thomas delights us with an interesting combination of Bronx Cheer, Crescent Moon, Hurry and Doohdah to make a sweet ladybug dubbed Lady Aura.

Additional Decorated Pages

There were several pages remaining in the booklet that were left to our creative discretion. I used many of the same tangles (and Celtic Knots) to complete the pages.

In Conclusion

Zentangle Project Pack 24 offers a perfect blend of mindfulness and artistic discovery. The materials provided are high quality, and the step-by-step guidance ensures that anyone can create something beautiful. The patterns included in this pack are easy offering the perfect opportunity to explore new tangles or revisit old favorites with a fresh perspective.

If you’ve been considering trying out a Zentangle Project Pack or are looking for a new creative adventure, Project Pack 24 is a fantastic choice. It’s a reminder that no matter where you are in your Zentangle journey, the joy of the process is what really matters.
